I must admit, I am a total fan! I have already purchased a nice pair of white crops that I rocked yesterday, AND I am still searching for the perfect pair of white pants. I think this trend is bringing a little class to this summer.
While doing my beginning of summer shopping I found that cut-off jean Daisy Duke shorts are apparently back in style. GROSS. I am no longer 13 years old nor do I have the legs of Jennifer Aniston so I know these do not look good on me. (That might be a hint that they don't look good on you either..) I was beginning to feel discouraged about the trends of summer when I started spotting white everywhere!
Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez and many more have all been seen sporting white pants or crops. I LOVE it. White pants are a great way to instantly up the style and chic factor for almost any outfit. They are great to wear to anything ranging from a family BBQ, cocktails with friends, or a date night with your summer fling. I love how versatile they are, and how easily you can dress them up with a nice blouse, wedges and some cute jewelry.
Another plus of the white pant look is that it helps make everyone look like a bronzed goddess. I always appreciate clothes that help me feel a little darker than I am during the summer- especially now that I work a big-girl job inside all day, every day this summer.
Beware- of going to an extreme. First, do not wear all white. Make sure your top has some color so that your face pops and so that you don't look like you're a bride-to-be.
Please do NOT ruin the trend by buying a white mini jean skirt or white Daisy Dukes. Nothing is worse than a girl with what looks like a napkin shoved up her butt and barely covering her goods. Also, the white jean skirt look had its time back in the 90s so please do not try to bring it back. These are instant ways to turn the white classy look into trash.
Now that you know how summer chic white pants are, and how NOT to wear them.. go buy some! Today!
